As part of our Reading Month activities, our 1st grade students took part in a special library activity inspired by the book “Our Rainbow Skin.” 📖✨

After exploring the story, students created their own characters using silhouettes, choosing colors from the rainbow to represent their character’s skin. Through this creative process, they embraced a powerful message: even though we are all different, every person has the same value. 💛

By combining art and reading, our students reflected on diversity, respect, and the importance of inclusion, learning from an early age to celebrate differences and stand against racism. 🌍🤝

As part of this Reading Month activities and in collaboration with the English Department, our 4th grade students proudly presented their own comics inspired by the theme “Heroes Among Us.”

Through this meaningful activity, students created and shared illustrated stories featuring real-life heroes—individuals who, through their actions, make a positive impact on the world. ✨

By combining drawing, writing, and storytelling, students explored essential values such as courage, empathy, and commitment to their community. This experience not only highlighted their creativity, but also reminded us all that true heroes are often closer than we think. 💫

Rhymes, stories, and imagination in action!

Our Pre-K students explored the power of language through rhythm, sound, and storytelling during our unit “Little Voices, Big Stories.” The journey began with a joyful live rhyming show performed by our teachers, sparking curiosity about sound patterns, playful words, and the magic of storytelling. From there, children created their own rhyming stories inspired by their ideas, drawings, feelings, and everyday experiences.

Working collaboratively, they transformed their rhymes into short musical and spoken pieces, using visuals, illustrations, and creative tools to bring their stories to life.

Families were invited to join this learning journey by helping create props and materials for the final presentation. This partnership between school and home strengthens children’s confidence, creativity, and sense of belonging, showing them that their voices, ideas, and stories truly matter.

We are learning to use sounds, words, and our voices to communicate our ideas, experiences, and feelings through stories and rhymes. 📚🎶

💥🚗 STEM Studio Week: Crash Smart

Our 6th grade students embarked on an exciting journey into the world of collisions, diving deep into concepts such as friction, gravity, and velocity through a rich and extended research process. This exploration came to life during STEM Studio Week, where students designed and built their own car prototypes, testing them on ramps to observe real-time collisions in action.

Families were an essential part of this experience, joining the process and working alongside their children to refine and improve their prototypes in preparation for the final presentation. Together, they transformed knowledge into innovation, creativity, and meaningful learning. 🚀✨
