👩🏻 Our first Pre-Primary Parenting Power Session of the school year was an enriching experience! 🤝

We discussed around the topic “Small yet Big Beginnings: How can I help my child in their first steps at school?” 👦🏼

During this session, we reflected on how to accompany our children at the beginning of their school life, strengthening their academic readiness and creating habits that give them security and confidence. We talked about basic learning units, highlighting the importance of sleep, nutrition, hygiene, play, and movement. We also discussed initial academic skills such as attention, language, writing, and early reading. We mentioned social and emotional skills: respect, empathy, autonomy, and teamwork. We ended with practical strategies for the home: How to motivate, accompany, and provide routines that promote independence. 📚🤖🏫

Compartimos el tema “Pequeños grandes comienzos: ¿Cómo ayudar a mi hijo en sus primeros pasos escolares?”. 👦🏼

Durante este espacio reflexionamos sobre cómo acompañar a nuestros niños en el inicio de su vida escolar, fortaleciendo su aprestamiento académico y generando hábitos que les brinden seguridad y confianza. Conversamos sobre Unidades básicas de aprendizaje resaltando la importancia del sueño, la alimentación, la higiene, el juego y el movimiento. Las habilidades académicas iniciales como atención, lenguaje, escritura y lectura temprana. Mencionamos habilidades sociales y emocionales: respeto, empatía, autonomía y trabajo en equipo y finalizamos con estrategias prácticas para el hogar: cómo motivar, acompañar y brindar rutinas que favorezcan la independencia. 📚🤖🏫

🐰 From Wonderland to real life! 🫖

For the past two weeks, our 6th graders have been diving into Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, exploring the Victorian Era, crafting arguments, and stepping into character. Yesterday it all came to life in our Wonderland Tea Party Socratic Seminar 🍵🎩.

Students debated absurd rules, connected them with Victorian traditions, and even reflected on modern “nonsense” like current trends and viral memes. They discovered that nonsense is more than just silliness, it’s a way to question power, fairness, identity, and the rules we follow without thinking. 💡

At AIS, we believe learning should spark curiosity, creativity, and unforgettable memories. Through experiences like these, our students are able to think outside the box and find deeper truths about themselves and the world around them. 🌍💙
