What is STEAM?
An educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics (STEAM) to enhance students’ critical and creative thinking skills and become innovators in an ever-evolving world.
The AIS STEAM Program
Is based on real world in-depth projects, using a scientific mindset to generate knowledge (inquiry based), develop technology (prototyping) and inspire innovation (stakeholders impact); via rigorous, relevant and context related (3Rs) experiences that enhance students’ collaboration, communication, creativity and critical thinking (4Cs) skills.
Why do we need STEAM education?
STEAM projects give students a chance to engage in hands-on, experiential learning, providing tools to explore new and creative ways of problem-solving, displaying data, innovating, and linking multiple fields. It teaches them how to think outside the box!
