The purpose of Student Clubs at AIS is to provide opportunities to engage, to learn, and to lead, by allowing students to pursue their passions and interests with other students while developing leadership and teamwork skills.

Student Clubs at AIS bring an excellent opportunity to apply to scholarships and national or international networking experiences.

COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUBS

SHOV CLUB

Description: The SHOV Club mission is to show teenagers a new perspective on life and service, which leads to the creation of new life projects and personal growth.

This club is hoping to fulfill other’s necessities in terms of community service and awaken empathy towards the community.

CONNECT CLUB

Description: The Connect Club mission is to create connections inside and outside the AIS community by being a bridge of communication between students and directives.

KEY CLUB

Description: Key Club is a student-led, high school organization. Its members make the world a better place through service. In doing so, they grow as individuals and as leaders by answering the call to lead, summoning the
courage to engage and developing the heart to serve.
Leaders: Mayre Coba, Isabella Gómez Mission: Key Club Altamira’s mission is to enhance the value of service in students through interactive ways while helping the localcommunity.
Vision: Our vision is to motivate more students to join our club and learn by the act of service. Additionally, we would like to do activities with other clubs around the world. Make a greater impact on our city and school.

GIRL UP

Description: GirlUp is a movement that improves girls’ skills, rights, and opportunities to be leaders. When girls rise, we all rise. Girl Up’s leadership development programs have impacted.

Mission: GirlUp Altamira seeks to break the stigmas around feminism by educating, supporting and women in our society.
Vision: Our vision is to create an equal environment for all the students by educating them around gender equality.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY CLUBS:

GREEN TEAM

Description: Green Team is an environmental Student Club that aims to carry out activities and projects in favor of the protection and care of the environment. Activities and proposals for recycling, responsible consumption, climate action and innovative projects that generate impact. Leaders: Isabella Higuera
Mission: To make Altamira students aware of environmental issues and their importance, from the youngest to the oldest in a fun, interactive way.
Vision: To have a solid group of members who will be in charge of spreading the environmental message appropriately and make all the rest of the community interested in participating in the monthly initiatives.

BOOK CLUB

Description: The Book Club helps students develop character, communication, social and leadership skills. Moreover, Book Clubs promote a love of literature in a positive, nurturing environment. The purpose of any club is to
bring a community together to learn about and discuss something that matters to them.

Mission: Our goal is to enrich AIS student’s lives and to build communities through literacy.

AV CLUB

Description: The AudioVisual Club made up of students who are interested in being a part of the stage crew or technical crew for events held in the High School auditorium. Students who join the club are given the opportunity to pick
an area of interest, including stage crew or technical crew.

Mission: We intend to create creative projects working along the STEAM department that include audio production, theater visuals (withthe drama club), and a short film.
Vision: To promote the use of audiovisual language as an aid for storytelling in AIS students.

DRAMA CLUB

Description: The goal of the drama club is to use drama to teach students about themselves, interacting with others, expressing their creativity and the power of confidence. Dramatic activities, performing in front of others, putting on plays and musicals, help students improve their communication and teamwork skills.

Mission: To show the artistic side of the students by performing arts.
Vision: The drama club will accompany the school plays, will build short film themes where they show their dierent artistic talents. We want your club to last and grow more and more.

STUDENT WELFARE CLUBS:

EWT CLUB

Descripción: The mission of the EWT Club is to provide information on the subject of mental health through tools provided by a team of facilitators and create activities that will help students feel comfortable and in a safe
environment.

911 CLUB

An invitation to the students to learn more about: Mental health, Physical health, First aid, Biosecurity. We want students to learn about these topics to be prepared in case of emergencies, and respond calmly.

STUDENT LEADERSHIP CLUBS:

GLOBAL GOALS CHANGEMAKERS CLUB:

Description: UN Changemakers will develop national and local projects that stretch our perception towards global problems and issues. UNCM will provide Altamira students with general knowledge about the implementation of alternatives that solve environmental, educational, industrial, political, and economical aspects. This club also seeks to empower participants to use their creativity and leadership skills, in order to debate about security, climate action, international peace, and human rights, among others.

IBC CLUB:

The Business/Start-Up Club is a community who prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in business, finance and marketing. Our mission is to develop and empower student leaders to discover their passion and change the world by creating unmatched opportunities in learning, professional growth and service.

OBJECTIVES:

Our objective for this club, goes as following:

• Develop competent, aggressive business leadership.
• Strengthen the confidence of students in themselves and their work.
• Encourage members in the development of individual projects that contribute to the improvement of the AIS community
• Develop character and prepare for useful citizenship.
• Encourage and practice ecient money management.
• Encourage scholarship and promote school loyalty.
• Assist students in the establishment of occupational goals.
• Facilitate the transition from school to work.

COMMUNITY SERVICE CLUBS IMPACT IN NUMBERS

• Actualmente formamos 870 estudiantes dentro de una comunidad educativa de más de 1.500 familias extendida a nivel global.
• Contamos con 15 clubes estudiantiles que generan impacto positivo en el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes y desarrollan habilidades de liderazgo, trabajo en equipo, colaboración y promueve experiencias de desarrollo de proyectos enfocados en el desarrollo sostenible y la Agenda 2030 representados en 4 categorías: Clubes de Servicio comunitario, Clubes de Sostenibilidad Ambiental, •Clubes de Artes, Clubes de Bienestar estudiantil, Clubes de Liderazgo estudiantil.
• Se han impactado a más de 1.000 personas de comunidades en condición de vulnerabilidad con proyectos comunitarios de innovación social colaborativa.
• Contamos con más de 25 aliados y colaboradores estratégicos identificados y con los que colaboramos en proyectos transversales en nuestra comunidad educativa.
• Gracias a nuestras Campañas y proyectos realizados, se han recolectado más de 100 materiales educativos, 100 juguetes, 80 kits de aseo para apoyar diferentes causas sociales y comunidades.
• En nuestro programa de manejo ambiental se han reciclado más de 350 kg de papel usado, y recolectado más de 5.000 botellas de plástico con campañas ambientales para reducir y reusar residuos aprovechables.
• Se han realizado más de 10 Campañas de Crowdfunding y llevado a cabo más de 20 actividades realizadas por Clubes estudiantiles.
