How can I not feel that you're getting lost in the crowd?

The world is changing and so are you. It is natural to evolve and overcome difficult times as proof that you can survive and continue the species. This is Darwin's main research idea. But you are more than a species, you are more than someone who was born and needs to fully meet the expectations of society. You're the perfect combination of the unique circumstances for which you were designed.

The power of the media, social networks, the economic crisis, the Covit-19 pandemic are some examples of how you can be persuaded and follow the wave and make your life "easier." These circumstances are modeling the way you're doing in life: thinking and assessing what you're doing with your life, if you're taking advantage of opportunities, if you feel good about yourself but comparing with others around you, if you can leave a memory in history or be someone extraordinary like media people. It's a lot of pressure. And sometimes, in a hurry to fit in and be "normally accepted," you follow someone's rules rather than recognizing you as unique, powerful and human, but sharing with the world.

How can you do that? It's not simple, real life is not easy, but it's amazing when you decide to identify unhealthy behaviors, thoughts and feelings and rebuild your mentality forever. According to this, psychotherapist Amy Morin recommends 13 things that mentally strong people don't do. For example, The mentally strong people do not waste their time and energy thinking about the problem, but focus on creating a solution. This is flexibility, an executive function that we are developing at school. Use time wisely, prepare a target tracker, take at least plan A and a backup plan. Don't waste your time feeling sorry for yourself, take the time to accept what happened, evaluate the circumstances and move on.

Make peace with the past, so you can live the present and plan the future. Every experience changes you, teaches you and sometimes puts you on the target line. Those moments or decisions are values now because they show you something about yourself you didn't know before. The mentally strong people do not live in the past. It uses the experience to make better decisions using soft skills such as resilience, emotional intelligence and growth mentality. Those skills can lead you to become the person you want to be.

The mentally strong people do not give up after a failure. It's normal to feel ashamed, discouraged and frankly defeated when your first attempts don't work. These feelings are proof that you were doing your best and you pushed yourself to the limit to achieve your goal and get on the roof. It's important to feel depressed to learn to stand up. Curiosity, self-management and determination can improve your ability to keep your head upright with pride.

To feel that you are living your own life, focus on your values and beliefs, even when your choices are not popular. This means you can express your point of view to the world, but using democratic statements to fit in. The mentally strong people do not care to please others, they are aware of the perspectives of others but make their own decisions. Empathy, communication and social intelligence can help you share your ideas without being intransigent.

Finally, enjoy the little things of life, be patient with your process and smile from the bottom of your heart.
